Languages

Measured rather than claimed. Across my eight repositories, public and private together, GitHub detects about 4.5 MB of source in 19 languages.

The numbers say how much code exists in a language. They do not say how good it is, and they reward verbose languages over terse ones. As an order of magnitude they still hold.

Programming languages

Language Source Projects Relative
C++ 1538 KB3
Rust 1474 KB1
TypeScript 527 KB1
Python 148 KB2
C 76 KB2
JavaScript 43 KB1
C# 11 KB1

The bars are relative to the largest language, not to the total. The colours are the ones GitHub uses to mark these languages.

C++ and Rust sit almost level and together make up two thirds of everything. C++ spreads across three projects, the largest being Gaia. Rust lives entirely in Kadenz. TypeScript, Python and JavaScript come mostly from Aetherus. C# is one small project and reads accordingly.

Shaders, markup and tooling

Not programming languages in the narrow sense, but part of the same work. No C++ builds without a build system, and no graphics draw without shaders.

Language Source Used for
HTML 409 KBInterfaces and templates
CMake 182 KBBuild system for the C++ projects
CSS 106 KBStyling
GLSL 23 KB Shaders for Vulkan
Batchfile 13 KB Launch scripts on Windows
WGSL 10 KB Shaders for the GPU canvases in Kadenz
Fluent 4 KB Translations
Shell 3 KB Scripts on the server
Dockerfile 1 KB Container builds
Just 1 KB Tasks in the Rust project

Two detections are left out because they come from the language scanner alone: a single byte of RenderScript and one launcher written in VBScript. Neither says anything.
